This home began as a teardown of a 1970s residence on a wooded lot in Alpine, Utah. Drawn to the mature trees, gardens, and mountain views, the clients envisioned a family-friendly retreat with a swimming pool, sport court, pool house, golf simulator, and fitness studio.

Blending modern and traditional aesthetics, the design prioritizes functionality and hospitality. The open-plan living room and kitchen serve as the heart of the home, seamlessly connecting to a wraparound porch that enhances indoor-outdoor living.

The second floor houses the children’s quarters, each with a personalized vestibule, a shared creative space, and a central laundry room. At the rear, the pool house offers guest accommodations while maintaining a strong connection to the main residence.

Preserving the existing tree canopy shaped the site plan, integrating the home, landscape, and recreational elements into a cohesive, nature-focused retreat.
